Abstract
Rad se bavi analizom kretanja inozemnih izravnih ulaganja u zemljama srednje i istočne Europe. U radu je definiran pojam inozemnih izravnih ulaganja te su objašnjene njegove vrste poput greenfielda, brownfielda te spajanja i preuzimanja s njihovim prednostima i nedostacima, isto tako obrazloženi su efekti koje inozemna izravna ulaganja imaju na trgovinu i siromaštvo te koji su njihovi ciljevi. U radu je promatrano kako inozemna izravna ulaganja utječu na gospodarstvo zemalja srednje i istočne Europe s detaljnijom analizom Hrvatske i Slovenije. Najveće priljeve inozemnih izravnih ulaganja ostvarila je Češka, Poljska i Rumunjska, a najmanje Latvija i Slovačka. U Hrvatsku su najviše uložile zemlje poput Slovenije, Srbije, Crne Gore, Poljske, Rusije i Makedonije dok su u Sloveniju najviše uložile Austrija, Luxembourg, Švicarska, Italija, Njemačka i Nizozemska.
Abstract (english)
This text discusses the analysis of the movement of foreign direct investment in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Foreign direct investment types like greenfield, brownfield and mergers and acquisitions are defined in this text with their advantages and disadvantages. In addition, the text also explains the effects of foreign investment on trade and poverty and what are the goals of the foreign direct investment. Foreign direct investment flows in central and eastern europe will be detailed analyzed in countries like Croatia and Slovenia. The largest inflows of foreign direct investment were in the Czech Republic, Poland and Romania, and the least in Latvia and Slovakia. Countries such as Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, Poland, Russia and Macedonia invested most in Croatia, while Austria, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Italy, Germany and the Netherlands invested most in Slovenia.
