Abstract

Parallel abstract (English)
Sport is an activity that prepares children in physiological terms and helps to maintain the equilibrium between physical and psychological burden. Pre–school children are moving around most of the day and as such use lots of forms of movement as they participate in daily physical activities. Physical activities are best carried out trough games because the children like exercise in a fun and encouraging way. Sports activities for pre–school children shouldn't be aimed at creating top athletes but more to promote optimal development of motor potential in children at an age when it is very important. Motor activities must be focused on the development of motor abilities and skills and be selected in accordance with the capabilities of preschool children. Sports activities at pre-school level that can be implemented with children include athletics, swimming, cycling, tennis, rhythmic gymnastics, etc.
