Abstract
Turizam svakim danom sve važniji i kako su ulaganja u turizam velika kako na razini Hrvatske tako i na svjetskoj razini. Kongresni turizam označen je kao jedan od najprofitabilnijih selektivnih oblika turizama u Hrvatskoj, čiji ekonomski i financijski pokazatelji ukazuju na značajan rast u posljednjih nekoliko godina. Kongresni turizam u hrvatskom gospodarstvu pojavljuje se kao selektivni oblik turizma i jedan od čimbenika njegovog razvoja. Kongresni turizam ima značajan utjecaj na porast konkurentnosti hrvatskog turizma. Hrvatska je poznata kao još uvijek visoko ekološki očuvana zemlja, zbog čega ima sva potrebna prirodna i geografska obilježja za razvoj kongresnog turizma. Nalazi se na idealnom geopolitičkom području s dobro razvijenom infrastrukturom, ima bogatu povijesnu i kulturnu baštinu te je sigurna turistička destinacija za sudionike kongresa. Konkurentsnost hrvatskog turizma može se znatno poboljšati ulaganjem u poslovanje kongresnog turizma.

Tourism more important every day, and that investments in tourism great at both Croatian and at the global level. Congress tourism is marked as one of the most selective forms of tourism in Croatia, whose economic and financial indicators point to significant growth in recent years. Congress tourism in the Croatian economy appears as a selective form of tourism and one of the factors of its development. Conference Tourism has a significant impact on the increase of competitiveness of Croatian tourism. Croatia is known as a still highly preserved land, which has all the necessary natural and geographical features of the development of congress tourism. It is located in an ideal geopolitical area with well-developed infrastructure, has a rich historical and cultural heritage, and is a safe tourist destination for congress participants. Croatian tourism can be significantly improved by investing in a business conference tourism.
