The aim of this work is presentation of the results of research and analysis of corporate social responsibility in the banking sector. In the introductory part of the work theory of corporate social responsibility will be represented through numerous definitions of various authors. Also, the implementation of CSR activities into daily business practicies will be explained with emphasizing the benefits that arise for companies that are oriented to corporate social responsibility. Of great importance are also the toolsthat are available to companiesfor the purpose of quality implementation of corporate social responsibility. In a separate chapter will beexplained the development of corporate social responsibility in Croatia. Before the analysis of two large banking groups that operate in Croatia would like to point out the most important factors and activities of the banking sector as part of responsible business. In particular, will talk about the system of monitoring and control of commercial banks and their risk management issues.
