Abstract
Tema rada je analiza odabranih obilježja prehrambene industrije Republike Hrvatske. Prehrambena industrija predstavlja važnu sastavnicu svakog gospodarstva, tako i hrvatskoga. Zapošljava veliki broj ljudi, ostvaruje najviše prihode unutar prerađivačke industrije, te posjeduje velike proizvodne kapacitete. U radu su rangirane tvrtke prema financijskim i tržišnim pokazateljima, te su dobiveni podaci objedinjeni AHP metodom, koja se pokazala primjerenom u slučaju višekriterijskog odlučivanja. PIK Vrbovec je ocijenjen najboljom tvrtkom hrvatske prehrambene industrije. Analizom izvoznih trendova i pokazatelja na globalnom tržištu, odnosno na segmentiranim tržištima, vidljivo je kako je hrvatsko tržište relativno malo te da je izlazak na globalno tržište neupitan za prehrambenu industriju. Veći dio domaće proizvodnje hrane je usmjeren prema izvozu, no i dalje se ostvaruje deficit u trgovinskoj razmjeni. CEFTA i dalje predstavlja najveće izvozno tržište prehrambenih proizvoda, no ulaskom u EU ne treba zanemariti značaj tog tržišta. Radi jačanja konkurentnosti, prehrambena industrija treba razvijati područja kao što su: veća ulaganja u ljudski kapital, brendiranje prehrambene industrije, ulaganje financijskih sredstava u istraživanje i razvoj te formiranje prehrambenih klastera. Ključno je postaviti konzistentnu industrijsku politiku, te omogućiti ulaganja koja će prehrambenu industriju učiniti konkurentnijom.
Abstract (english)
Topic of this work was the analysis of selected characteristics of the food industry of the Republic of Croatian. The food industry presentation an important component of any economy, and Croatian. It employs a large number of people, most revenues in the manufacturing industry, and has a large production capacity. The paper ranked firms according to the financial and market indicators, and the data integrated AHP method, which proved to be appropriate in the case of multiple criteria decision making. PIK Vrbovec was rated the best company of Croatian food industry. An analysis of export trends and indicators in the global market, and the segmented markets, it is evident that the Croatian market is relatively small and that is going out to the global market is unquestionable for the food industry. Most of the domestic food production is export-oriented, but still achieves the trade deficit. CEFTA continues to represent the largest export market of food products, but entry into the EU should not neglect the importance of this market. In order to strengthen the competitiveness of the food industry needs to develop areas such as greater investment in human capital, branding the food industry, financial investment in research and development and the formation of food cluster. The key is to establish a consistent industrial policy, and enable investments that will make the food industry more competitive.
