Abstract
Informacijski sustavi bitna su stavka svakog poslovnog sustava. Svaki informacijski sustav mora biti prilagođen potrebama poduzeća, a menadžeri su dužni definirati zahtjeve poduzeća. On prikuplja, obrađuje i pohranjuje podatke brzinom kojom to ne može obaviti čovjek. Dijagramom toka podataka računovodstveni informacijski sustav grafički prikazuje tijek podataka u poduzeću. On prikazuje trenutno stanje informacijskog sustava i služi za oblikovanje novog računovodstvenog informacijskog sustava. Model podataka je skup pravila koja određuju kako sve može izgledati logička struktura baze podataka. U bazi podataka nalaze se međusobno povezani podatci pohranjeni u vanjskoj memoriji koji su odmah dostupni korisnicima poslovnog sustava. Modeliranje podataka može biti konceptualno, logičko i fizičko. Računovodstvenim informacijskim podsustavom (ciklusom) nabave pokazuje se na koji način poduzeće naručuje, zaprima, i skladišti dobra, te kako na kraju provodi plaćanje.

Parallel abstract (English)
The aim of this paper was to review the design of the database for business (accountancy) applications. Information systems are important part of every business system. Every information system must be adjusted to company's needs, and the managers are obligated to define the company's requirements. The information system collects, analyses and stores the data in a manner and speed no human can achieve. Using schematic of the data flow, the information system can display the flow of the data in the company. It shows the current condition of the information system and serves as a tool for designing a new accountancy information system. The data model is a set of rules which defines the design of the logic structure of the database. In the database there is mutually connected data stored in the external memory which are available to users of the business system. Data modelling can be conceptual, logical, and physical. Accountancy information subsystem (cycle) of the supply can show how the company orders, receives and stores goods and, in the end, how it performs the payment.
