Abstract
Febrilne konvulzije najčešći su neuropedijatrijski problem, a pojavljuju se između tri mjeseca i 5 godina života te se povezuju s febrilitetom, no ne mogu se dokazati intrakranijalna infekcija ili točan uzrok napadaja. Rad prikazuje istraživanje, u koje je uključeno 108 pacijenata s postavljenom dijagnozom febrilnih konvulzija, a hospitaliziranih na Odjelu za pedijatriju, u Jedinici veće djece i dojenčadi u trogodišnjem razdoblju (1. siječnja 2016. – 31. prosinca 2018.). Cilj istraživanja bio je prikazati značajke febrilnih konvulzija kod ispitanika te ih usporediti sa spoznajama iz literature. Deskriptivnom statističkom analizom dobiveni su sljedeći rezultati: najčešće se konvulzije pojavljuju kod muške djece, u dobi od 1 do 2 godine te pri temperaturi od 38,0-38,9°C. U najvećem su postotku FK jednostavne i događaju se prvi put te se rijetko ponavljaju. Uzroci su febrilnih konvulzija obično infekcije gornjih dišnih puteva te gastroenterokolitis. Trajanje bolničkog liječenja obično je 3,0±1,3 dana, a troškovi boravka na Odjelu u prosjeku iznose 3675,00 kuna za jedno dijete.
Abstract (english)
Febrile seizures are the most common neuropediatric problem, usually occurring between three months and five years of age and associated with fever but without evidence of intracranial infection or defined cause. This retrospective study included 108 patients diagnosed with febrile seizures and hospitalized at the Department of Pediatrics in the three-year-period (January 1st 2016 - December 31st. 2018). The aim of the study was to present the characteristics of febrile seizures in our hospitalized patients and to compare them with similar studies found in the literature. Descriptive statistical analysis results were obtained - seizures occur mostly in male children, aged 1 to 2 years and at a temperature of 38.0-38.9° C. They are mostly simple, they mostly happen once and are rarely repeated. The causes of febrile seizures are usually upper respiratory tract infections and gastroenterocolitis. The duration of hospital treatment was usually 3.0 ± 1.3 days, and the cost of hospital stay was approximately 3675,00 Croatian kunas/child.
