Abstract
U ovom radu riječ je o međunarodnim pričuvama u Republici Hrvatskoj. Međunarodne pričuve su inozemna imovina kojom se upravlja u svrhu osiguranja likvidnosti, profitabilnosti i stabilnosti tečaja. Upravljanje međunarodnim pričuvama omogućuje i lakši pristup međunarodnom tržištu kapitala. BDP i nominalni devizni tečaj su odrednice koje imaju značajan utjecaj na međunarodne pričuve u Republici Hrvatskoj. Najveći dio portfelja međunarodnih pričuva ulaže se u državne vrijednosnice, kolateralizirane... More i nekolateralizirane instrumente. Pretežno međunarodne pričuve u Republici Hrvatskoj su uložene u euro, dok je manji dio uložen u američki dolar. Značajan utjecaj na međunarodne pričuve ima i valutni rizik. Republika Hrvatska je bilježila konstantan rast međunarodnih pričuva sve do pojave COVID-19 virusa, kada te pričuve započinju sa padom zbog deprecijacije kune i zatvaranja ekonomske aktivnosti. Abstract (english)
This thesis discusses the foreign reserves of the Republic of Croatia. Foreign reserves are foreign assets managed to ensure liquidity, profitability and exchange rate stability. Managing foreign reserves also provides easier access to the foreign capital market. The GDP and the nominal exchange rate are main determinants of Croatia's foreign reserves. Most of the portfolio of foreign reserves is placed in government securities, collateralised and non-collateralised instruments. As for... More currencies, Croatia's foreign reserves are primarily euro denominated while a smaller part is denominated in US dollars. Currency risk also has a significant impact on foreign reserves. The Republic of Croatia recorded a steady growth in foreign reserves until the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic when reserves began to decline due to depriciation of kuna and closure of economic activities. Despite the crisis that awaits us, the conclusion is that Croatia has accumulated a sufficient level of foreign reserves. Less
