Abstract | Održivost je sve više prisutna u životima ljudi i prati postavljene Ciljeve održivog razvoja kako bi zajedničkim snagama vratila uravnoteženost u svijet. Održivi turizam predstavlja putovanja koja zadovoljavaju potrebe sadašnjih posjetitelja i brinu o budućima, uključujući dimenzije ekološke, društvene i gospodarske održivosti. Primjenom novih trendova održivosti razvijaju se nove tehnologije, brine se o okolišu pomoću recikliranja i bori se za ravnopravnost. Održivi otoci su novitet u svijetu, mještani otoka pokušavaju se u potpunosti prilagoditi strukturi i vrsti otoka na održiv način. Odabrani otoci provode razne projekte koji su usmjereni prema održivosti. Najviše pažnje usmjeruju na samoodrživost, obnovljivu energiju, ekološku proizvodnju hrane, recikliranje i ponovnu upotrebu, smanjenju otpada, ravnopravnosti i zajedništvu lokalne zajednice. Glavna zadaća današnjih generacija je fokusirati se na očuvanje planeta Zemlje za buduće generacije, uz primjenu svih dimenzija održivosti kako bi se postigao vidljivi napredak. |
Abstract (english) | Sustainability is more and more present in people's lives and it follows the set goals of sustainable development in order to return balance to the world with joint forces. Sustainable tourism represents travel that meets the needs of current visitors and takes care of future visitors, including the dimensions of ecological, social and economic sustainability. By applying new sustainability trends, new technologies are developed, the environment is taken care of through recycling and equality is fought for. Sustainable islands are a novelty in the world, the inhabitants of the island are trying to fully adapt to the structure and type of the island in a sustainable way. Selected islands are implementing various projects aimed at sustainability. They focus most of their attention on self-sustainability, renewable energy, ecological food production, recycling and reuse, waste reduction, equality and togetherness of the local community. The main task of today's generations is to focus on the preservation of planet Earth for future generations, while applying all dimensions of sustainability in order to achieve visible progress. |
