Abstract
Globalizaciju i razvoj tehnologije popratila je i sve veća upotreba engleskog jezika, te su obje komponente doprinijele razvoju turističkog sektora. Mrežne stranice i aplikacije postale su najčešći način rezerviranja i pronalaska objekata, usluga, manifestacija i sadržaja. Mrežni sadržaj, ukoliko želi doprijeti do globalne publike i ostati konkurentan, danas mora biti višejezičan. Cilj ovog rada je objasniti ulogu lokalizacije i prijevodnih tehnologija u turizmu. U sklopu rada napravljena je analiza mrežnih stranica turističkih zajednica, muzeja te nacionalnih parkova kojom će se prikazati prisutni trendovi u lokalizaciji turističkih sadržaja u Hrvatskoj. Cilj provedene analize je istaknuti važnost lokalizacije u turističkom sektoru i ukazati na prednosti kontinuiranog ažuriranja sadržaja. Učinkovita uporaba prijevodnih tehnologija prevoditeljima omogućuje bržu izradu cjelovitih prijevoda koje je kasnije znatno lakše kontinuirano ažurirati.
Abstract (english)
Globalization, rapid technology development and the increasing use of the English language, contributed to the development of the tourism industry. Most bookings and searches for accommodation, services or events take place online. In order to reach a global audience, today’s websites have to be multilingual. The aim of this thesis is to explain the role of localization and translation technology in tourism. An analysis of the websites of tourist boards, museums and national parks was conducted in order to examine the current trends in localization of tourist content in Croatia. The aim of the conducted analysis is to highlight the importance of localization in the tourism sector and to point out the advantages of continuous localization. The efficient use of translation technology enables translators to swiftly create professional translations which are much easier to continuously update.
