Abstract Na primjeru Istarske županije može se vidjeti da turizam događaja obuhvaća razne dijelove svoje tvorbe. U ovom radu govori se o turizmu događaja od ranog povijesnog značaja za čovječanstvo sve do suvremenog razdoblja koje je rezultiralo „novim turistima“, tj. post-turistima koji su specifični jer su iskusniji i zahtjevniji nego ikada. Što se tiče razvitka novih ili preoblikovanja starih događaja, u današnje je vrijeme naglasak na diferenciranim, tehnološki pristupačnim, pojednostavljenim, ekološki i društveno odgovornim, konzumerističkim, trendovskim ponudama događanja. U današnje je vrijeme inovacije lakše implementirati zbog tehnološki sofisticiranih mogućnosti, a samim time velika je potražnja za novim ponudama u „moru“ sličnih ponuda radi konstantno drugačijih i novih doživljaja. Iako je kulturni turizam u sklopu svojih znamenitosti zaslužan za isticanje i prepoznatljivost jedne destinacije, u suvremenom turizmu dolazi do momenta u kojem se traže nove ideje u gastronomiji, savladavanju nekih novih znanja, upoznavanju s tradicijom i poviješću područja na kojem se boravi, i to učenjem stranih jezika, vjerskim željama i komunikacijom s domicilnim stanovništvom, dakle kreativnim aspektom turizma. Uz navedene inovacije, moderni turist više je nego ikada osviješten održivošću određene ponude i destinacije te teži očuvanju kulturno-umjetničke baštine, lokalne gastronomije, zanata i očuvanja bioraznolikosti. Jedan od glavnih temelja tvorbe turizma događaja oblici su turizma specijalnih interesa koji nude za svakog turista određeni interesni aspekt, od sportsko-rekreativnih, urbanih, prirodno-okolišnih do volonterskih događaja. U konačnici, kako bi turizam događaja uopće dobio na značaju, potreban je određen poticaj u smislu marketinške promocije i odnosa s javnošću kako bi dosegnuo razmjere u kojem će se na kraju dana pokazati profitabilnost i prihvaćanje od strane turista i lokalne zajednice.
Abstract (english) Event tourism on the example of Istrian County encompasses various parts of its creation. Through this paper, we talk about the tourism of events from early historical significance for humanity and up to the modern period that resulted in "new tourists", i.e. post-tourists who are specific because they are more experienced and more demanding than ever. Regarding the development of new or reshaping of old events, nowadays the emphasis is on differentiated, technologically accessible, simplified, ecologically and socially responsible, consumeristic, trendy event offers. Nowadays, innovations are much easier to implement due to technologically sophisticated possibilities and therefore there is a great demand for innovative different offers in the "sea" of similar offers for constantly different and new experiences. Although cultural tourism is certainly responsible for the emphasis and recognition of a destination as part of its sights, we are reaching a moment in modern tourism where novelties are sought in gastronomy, mastering some new knowledge, getting to know the tradition and history of the area where one is staying, learning foreign languages, religious wishes and communication with the domicile population, thus the creative aspect of tourism. In addition to the various mentioned novelties, the modern tourist is more than ever aware of the sustainability of a certain offer and destination and strives to preserve the cultural and artistic heritage, local gastronomy, crafts and the preservation of biodiversity. One of the main foundations of event tourism is, above all, forms of special interest tourism that offer a certain aspect of interest for every tourist, from sports and recreation, urban, natural environmental to volunteer events. Ultimately, in order for event tourism itself to gain significance, a certain boost in terms of marketing promotion and public relations is needed in order to reach the scale in which profitability and acceptance by tourists and the local community will be demonstrated at the end of the day.
