The aim of this paper is to investigate the user's perception of how digital platforms affect the business operations of companies in the tourism industry, with an emphasis on the Booking.com digital platform. The working hypotheses that are investigated in the paper are: 1) Users believe that digital platforms have contributed to people's quality of life, 2) Users believe that digital platforms have changed the way the tourism sector operates, 3) Users believe that the digital platform Booking.com is successful because offers diverse content and a large number of conveniences, 4) Users believe that the Booking.com digital platform greatly speeds up and facilitates travel planning, 5) Users believe that the Booking.com digital platform is completely safe. After reviewing and summarizing secondary data collected from books, scientific articles and internet sources, as well as conducting online research on the digital platform Booking.com, all the mentioned hypotheses were confirmed and the conclusion was reached that digital platforms have brought and are bringing significant changes to people's lives and business operations and that digital platforms, given the influence and importance they have in the world today, will continue to play a large and important role in the functioning of the world in the future.
