Property is a set of all subjective property rights of one person. The object of the property is: real rights, intellectual property rights, personal rights and obligations of rights. Intangible assets are non-monetary assets with no physical identifiable characteristics. Intangible assets are a resource controlled by an entrepreneur as a result of past events and which are expected to bring future economic benefits to the entrepreneur. Long-term intangible assets - such as goodwill, organizational costs, hedging costs and patents - are usually converted into expense over a number of accounting periods. The systematic allocation of the cost of purchasing that type of asset to the periods in which it benefits is called depreciation. Accounting procedures with intangible assets are governed by International Accounting Standard 38 and by the Croatian Financial Reporting Standard 5. In Podravka, the majority of the intangible assets consist of concessions, patents, licenses, commodities and service marks, software and other rights. The remainder of intangible assets is made up of intangible assets under preparation.
