Abstract
Ples je oduvijek bio zastupljen u kulturi čovjekova postojanja. Bilo to u povijesti kada su ljudi slavili rođenje, ljubav, uspjeh u poljodjelstvu ili neku drugu svečanost, pa sve do danas kada se mnoge kulturne manifestacije povezane turizmom, često vraćaju u prošlost i prikazuju turistima djelić tradicije nekog naroda. Stvaranje novih kultura i supkultura jednako tako je rezultat plesa, u smislu da je svaki ples drugačiji i svaki označava određenu eru u povijesti ili sadašnjosti. Osim diskutiranja o supkulturi ravea kao pozitivnom ili negativnom valu inovacija devedesetih, danas se otvaraju pitanja koja su već davno postavljena vezana uz ulogu muškog i ženskog roda u određenim plesnim stilovima. Dovodi se u pitanje plesačeva seksualnost umjesto njegove ili njezine tehnike. Možda najvažnija podtema ovoga teksta jest sam pojedinac i način na koji on utječe na plesno društvo.
Abstract (english)
Dance has always been present in the culture of being a human. From historical events like birth, love, agricultural success or some other celebration, until this day when a lot of cultural events are connected with tourism and those are often historical themed and represent a fraction of national tradition. The creation of new cultures and subcultures is as well a product of dance, in a way that every dance is different and each and every one is determined by historical or present era. Except discussing about the subculture of rave as an positive or negative wave of innovation in the 90s, today we are opening questions about the role of male and female gender that were set long time ago in certain dance styles. The sexuality of a dancer is being questioned rather that his of her technique. Maybe even the most important subtopic of this paper is the individual himself and the way his is affecting the dance society.
