Triple helix is innovation process form which emerged with development from medieval until contemporary university model. Graduate thesis deals with various themes related to the changes that have drastically affected the functioning of the university as an institution, and led to the development of a Triple helix model, which emphasizes the importance of cross-sectoral cooperation. By insight into the short history, growth and development of the university from the medieval to the classic university - Mode 1, the second type university - Mode 2, the entrepreneurship university brings us to the development of a Triple Helix model. The thesis emphasize the importance of entrepreneurship and innovation in the application and presenting the structural development of the model. Conducted research the author has pointed out the importance of the public sector in the functioning and application models. The author's research led to four key phases needed as the basis for proper implementation and application of the Triple Helix model in the desired field of action.
