Abstract
Bratovštine su društveno-vjerske udruge laika, usko vezane uz župnu zajednicu, koje nastaju u Europi u srednjem vijeku čiji je cilj bilo promicanje različitih aspekata pobožnosti i socijalne brige za svoje članove i zajednicu u skladu s kršćanskim načelima. Cilj ovoga rada je da se uz pomoć već analiziranih matrikula i poslovnih knjiga bratovština utvrdi društvena i vjerska uloga bratovština na istočnoj obali Jadrana u kasnom srednjem, i ranom novom vijeku.
