Sami mogu dobro procijeniti svoje specifično informatičko znanje i usporediti ga s drugim specifičnim znanjima
Abstract (english) Digital competence is one of the key competences for the digital age. A prerequisite for the development of such competence is information literacy, for which information literacy is a prerequisite. As such a core competency, it is important to teach computer literacy from the beginning of formal education, so that more advanced types of literacy can be taught at higher levels. Progress in information literacy needs to be monitored in a continuous way, so that we can see in time the impact of changes in formal education on the acquisition of competencies necessary for the knowledge society. The paper was originally conceived as a research, which with the help of pedagogical research would evaluate the level of computer literacy of students from fifth to eighth grade, and how this level could be monitored as an additional criterion in evaluating student progress during formal education at the city, county level. And wider. Due to the unique situation of online teaching (due to the Corona virus) in 2020, the paper presents existing related research at the level of Croatia, Europe and the world. The presented research could be easily conducted at the state level, in order to obtain initial data for further monitoring of the growth and development of information literacy of primary school students in Croatia. The pilot study was conducted on a small non-representative sample, but has already yielded results that can be further interpreted on larger samples. At the end of primary school, students are already computer literate, maybe even ahead of the program provided for the school. They can assess their specific IT knowledge well and compare it with other specific knowledge
