Abstract
Transplantacijska era u svijetu započela je 50-ih godina prošlog stoljeća i ubrzo se uspješno počela izvoditi i u Republici Hrvatskoj, poštujući medicinska i etička načela. U dio transplantacijskog tima Ministarstva zdravstva se ubraja i djelovanje Hrvatske donorske mreže. Doniranje i presađivanje organa regulirano je zakonom. Napredak u biomedicinskoj znanosti i medicinskoj tehnologiji otvorio je put za dobivanje organa preminulih. Transplantacija je izuzetno složeni postupak i nemoguće ga je improvizirati, a svi postupci moraju se izvoditi točno određenim redom. Pacijent kojem je dijagnosticirana moždana smrt, s očuvanom funkcijom tjelesnih organa, nalazi se u jedinici intenzivne njege gdje mu se održavaju vitalni znakovi, prije svega disanje i perfuzija organa. Rad sa moždano umrlim pacijentom koji je potencijalni darivatelj organa utječe na medicinsku sestru. Zato je potrebno da je medicinska sestra prije svega kvalitetno educirana, predana radu i da ima neophodne vještine.
Abstract (english)
The transplantation era in the world began in the 50s of the last century and soon began to be successfully performed in the Republic of Croatia, respecting medical and ethical principles. The activities of the Croatian Donor Network are also part of the transplantation team of the Ministry of Health. Donating and transplanting organs is regulated by law. Improvement in biomedical science and medical technology has opened the way for obtaining organs from the deceased. Transplantation is an extremely complex procedure and it is impossible to improvise it, and all procedures must be performed in an exact order. A patient diagnosed with brain death, with the function of body organs preserved, is in the intensive care unit where his vital signs are maintained, primarily breathing and organ perfusion. Working with a brain-dead patient who is a potential organ donor affects the nurse. That is why it is necessary that the nurse is first of all well-educated, committed to work and has the necessary skills.
