The topic of this final thesis is wine roads as tourist attractions. A tourist attraction is a place, object, event or phenomenon that attracts tourists due to its uniqueness, cultural, natural or historical significance, aesthetic value, entertainment content or the opportunity to experience an unusual and authentic experience. Tourist attractions are key elements in the development of tourist destinations because they motivate people to travel and explore certain areas. The wine road is a specific tourist route that connects vineyards, wineries and other tourist attractions in regions known for wine production. These roads lead visitors through different wine-growing landscapes and offer them the opportunity to taste wine, visit wineries, learn about the wine production process and enjoy local gastronomy and culture. There are four wine regions in Croatia: Slavonia and Podunavlje, Dalmatia, Istria and Kvarner, and Bregovita Hrvatska. Some examples of wine roads in Croatia are the Iločka, Moslavina, Međimurska and Istrian wine roads, Pelješac and Plešivice wine roads. This paper presents a SWOT analysis of the Banovo Brdo wine road which is located in the Slavonia and Podunavlje wine region. In the future, by promoting wine roads, the local population can reduce seasonality and improve sustainable development.
