Selektivni turizam pojam selektivno definira se kao sposobnost odabira odnosno koji se zasniva na odabiru navedeno naslućuje kako pojam selektivnog u kontekstu turizma otvara prostor za postojanje odabira između određenih oblika. Isto tako se mora prilagoditi sa prirodom. Razvoj selektivnog turizma sagledavamo kroz 4 faze prva faza prapovijest turizma sagledava srednjovjekovno doba i početak 17.st Druga faza obilježava izum parne lokomotive i pojava željezničkog prometa Treća faza razvoja turizma vremenski se smjestila u međuratnom periodu između dva velika rata te je to bio veliki poticaj razvoju tehnologije koja se kasnije pokazala vrlo korisna za razvoj turizma. Četvrta faza takozvana uzletna faza nastupila je upravo 1945.g doba tehnološke revolucije industrijskog razvoja i promjena koje su posljedično rezultirale ubrzani rastom nacionalnog bogatstva i naglog povećanja slobodnih financijskih sredstva i vremena širokih slojeva društva. Selektivni turizam u svijetu samim početkom turizma se počelo sa vjerskim turizmom koji je među prvima koji su potaknuli ljude na putovanje, te nakon toga zdravstveni turizam koji je se odvijao u hramovima zdravlja te primjer je grčkom bogu ozdravljenja asklepiosu. Imamo države danas koje su jako popularne po zdravstvenom turizmu a to su Kanada Singapur, japan itd. Selective tourism, the term selective is defined as the ability to choose, that is, which is based on selection, the above suggests that the concept of selective in the context of tourism opens up space for the existence of selection between certain forms. It must also adapt to nature. We look at the development of selective tourism through 4 phases. The first phase looks at the prehistory of tourism from the Middle Ages and the beginning of the 17th century.
