Abstract
U ovom radu istražena je upotreba alata umjetne inteligencije (AI) za potrebe programiranja, s posebnim naglaskom na njihovu primjenu u IT sektoru. Analizom ankete provedene među zaposlenicima IT tvrtki u Zagrebu, u kojoj je sudjelovalo 29 ispitanika, prikazani su ključni uvidi u korist, izazove i percepciju AI alata u svakodnevnom radu programera. Rezultati pokazuju da većina ispitanika koristi AI alate poput ChatGPT-a i GitHub Copilota, prepoznajući njihove prednosti u poboljšanju produktivnosti, smanjenju grešaka i automatizaciji repetitivnih zadataka poput dokumentacije i pronalaženja bugova. Unatoč brojnim prednostima, neki izazovi uključuju prilagođavanje koda i formuliranje preciznih upita. Većina ispitanika vjeruje da će upotreba AI alata postati standard u budućnosti, a povećanje kvalitete i smanjenje grešaka prepoznati su kao ključni faktori za njihovu daljnju primjenu. Zaključno, AI alati imaju značajan potencijal u transformaciji procesa programiranja, a daljnji razvoj tehnologije može značajno unaprijediti rad IT stručnjaka.
Abstract (english)
This paper explores the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools for programming purposes, with a special emphasis on their application in the IT sector. Analysis of a survey conducted among employees of IT companies in Zagreb, in which 29 respondents participated, showed key insights into the benefits, challenges and perception of AI tools in the daily work of programmers. The results show that most respondents use AI tools like ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot, recognizing their benefits in improving productivity, reducing errors, and automating repetitive tasks like documentation and bug-finding. Despite the many advantages, some challenges include customizing the code and formulating precise queries. The majority of respondents believe that the use of AI tools will become standard in the future, and increasing quality and reducing errors are recognized as key factors for their further use. In conclusion, AI tools have significant potential in transforming the programming process, and further development of technology can significantly improve the work of IT specialists.
