Abstract
Zajedno s globalizacijom svjetske ekonomije događa se i globalizacija turističke industrije. Siromašni dijelovi svijeta, iako daleko od mogućnosti započinjanja intenzivne industrijske proizvodnje, mogu poboljšati svoj ekonomski položaj, upravo kroz turističku aktivnost, praćenu ulaganjem u infrastrukturu, kapacitete i formiranje turističkih proizvoda. Smatra se da je cjelokupan svijet mobilan i da to ima globalne razmjere i iz toga se razloga ponekad masovni turizam izjednačava s globalizacijom. Globalni značaj turizma ne proizlazi samo iz činjenice da je turizam suvremeni fenomen, često poistovjećen s vodećom svjetskom industrijom, već se ističe značaj sve veće razmjene ekonomskih i drugih utjecaja između turista i lokalnog stanovništva. Utjecaj globalizacije na turizam sagledan je s pet temeljnih aspekata, a koji se odnose na: gospodarstvo, tehnologiju, kulturu, ekologiju i politiku. Sve zemlje svijeta zainteresirane su za uključivanje na međunarodno turističko tržište jer, ekonomski gledano, turizam ima pozitivne strane, donosi zaradu, napredak, razvoj, a negativni utjecaji se pri tom zanemaruju iako je turizam vrlo osjetljiv na rizike.

Along with the globalization of the world economy, globalization of the tourism industry is also happening. The poor parts of the world, though far from the possibility of starting an intense industrial production can improve their economic situation through the tourism activity, followed by investment in infrastructure, the capacity and the formation of tourism products. It is believed that the entire world is mobile and that it has the global proportions. From this reason, sometimes mass tourism equates with globalization. The global significance of tourism derives not only from the fact that tourism is a new age phenomenon, often identified with the world's leading industry, but also highlights the importance of increasing the exchange of economic and other impacts from tourists and local residents. The impact of globalization on tourism is seen with five basic aspects, which are related to: the economy, technology, culture, ecology and politics. All countries are interested in the international tourism market because, in economic terms, tourism has a positive side, bringing profits, progress, development, and negative impacts are neglect, although tourism is very sensitive to risks.
