Urban tourism is a relatively new type of tourism. It is the tourism of big cities in which several smaller tourist offers are combined into a unique urban product. Each city has a variety of facilities that seek to attract domestic and foreign tourists. Some of such examples are the city of Zadar and the city of Dubrovnik, as unavoidable tourist destinations on the Adriatic Sea, and the city of Zagreb as the capital of the Republic of Croatia and an attractive tourist urban center recognized internationally. The research revealed that it is necessary to rationally manage space in these cities, encourage and plan the construction of housing in those areas that are less developed, ie it is necessary to urbanize all parts of the city, and that it is necessary to develop urban tourism in a sustainable way. By adopting and implementing strategic planning documents, it is possible to go in the positive direction of long-term development of urban tourism in these cities.
