Abstract
Igra je osnovni i specifični dio ljudskog života, životna aktivnost, različita od rada i odmora, ali s elementima obojeg. Igra je kao životna aktivnost poglavito zastupljena kod djece i mladih te sadrži mnogo korisnih efekata za njihov cjelokupni razvoj u zrele odrasle osobe. Među ovima, najkorisniji efekti igre se pripisuju razvoju djece predškolske dobi. U ovim godinama dijete prolazi kroz intenzivan emocionalni, društveni i moralni razvoj kojeg igra, na sebi svojstven način, utjelovljuje, pospješuje i daljnje razvija. Ovaj rad prikazuje bogate i unikatne posebnosti i odlike različitih igara, tradicionalnih i modernih, te se pita kakav utjecaj te igre imaju na rast i razvoj predškolske djece. Zaključak je kako postoje mnoge tradicionalne igre koje ostvaruju širi i snažniji porast kognitivnog, emocionalnog, društvenog i moralnog razvoja te kako igranje takvih igara treba poticati kako u obitelji, tako i u odgojno-obrazovnim ustanovama.
Abstract (english)
The play is a basic and specific part of human life, a life activity, different than work and leisure but with elements of both. As a life activity it is predominantly prevalent among children and youth and holds many favorable effects for their wholesome development into mature and responsible adults. Among these, the most favorable effects of play are those ascribed to the development of preschool children. In this period the child experiences an immense emotional, social and moral development which the play in its own unique way embodies, helps prosper and further extends. This work exemplifies the rich and unique play-specific characteristics of different games, traditional and modern, and questions what kind of an impact such games produce on preschool children’s growth and development. The conclusion is, there are many traditional games that realize a broader and stronger cognitive, emotional, social and moral development among preschool children and the use of such games should be encouraged both in families and educational institutions.
