Abstract | Ovaj rad bavi se teorijom kulture i supkulture, pojavom punk supkulture u svijetu, novim valom i punkom u Hrvatskoj te alternativnom i punk scenom i Puli. |
Abstract (english) | This thesis deals with the theory of a culture and subculture and more specifically, the emergence of a punk subculture in Pula, Croatia. , the new wave, and the alternative punk scene in Pula. It analyzes the causes of a punk emergence and the way it has been spreading within the borders of a former Yugoslavia. The second part of the thesis deals with politics in the language of the punk band "KUD Idijoti", for which an interview was made with the founder of the band, Sasa Milovanovic. The texts were analyzed on the spatial, linguistic and political level. The goal of the analysis was to prove how socio-political circumstances affected the bands foundation while incorporating the following into their texts: descriptions of the city of Pula, dialectisms, italianisms, anglicisms, vulgarisms, slangs, and metaphors. and what was the purpose of all regarding the political views. On top of it all, the matter of censure is being discussed since it was a common occurrence during their musical carrier. By the end, the descriptions of the city of Pula were shown to be a subjective experience of reality; the use of anglicisms and italianisms were ironical, and the politics were ironically, sarcastically, metaphorically, implicitly and explicitly criticized. All in all, the specific socio-political (con)texts were responsible for the bands political and leftist identity construction. |
