Abstract U današnje vrijeme poduzeća posluju u nestabilnoj, vrlo složenoj te dinamičnoj okolini koja se konstantno mijenja. Okolinu možemo podijeliti na unutarnju okolinu poduzeća na koju ono ima izravan utjecaj i vanjsku okolinu, na koju ne može tako lako utjecati. Zbog toga je bitno pri donošenju odluka te formiranju strategije analizirati vanjsku okolinu kako bi se moguće prijetnje izbjegle, ili barem umanjile, a prilike prihvatile i iskoristile. Najpoznatiji alati za analizu vanjske okoline jesu SWOT analiza te PESTEL analiza koji su ujedno i povezani jer donose zaključke o tome koji čimbenici predstavljaju prilike, a koji prijetnje. Osim što dobijamo sliku o vanjskoj okolini, PESTEL analiza omogućava nam da bolje razumijemo kako će određena promjena u vanjskoj okolini utjecati na poduzeće ili djelatnost koju promatramo te nam pomaže da spriječimo ili umanjimo negativne učinke vanjske okoline, a prepoznamo pozitivne. Tartufarstvo je djelatnost koja je u zadnjih par godina sve traženija na području Hrvatske, s obzirom na to da su hrvatski, odnosno, istarski tartufi jedne od najcjenjenijih gljiva na svijetu te donose mnogobrojne pozitivne utjecaje na ekonomiju i gospodarski rast. Međutim, PESTEL analiza hrvatskog tartufarstva dovodi do zaključka da se najveće prijetnje pojavljuju u političkoj okolini te ekonomskoj i socijalnoj okolini, dok najveće prilike leže u tehnološkom okruženju, kao I u ekološkom te pravnom okruženju.
Abstract (english) Nowadays, a lot of companies operate in an unstable, very complex and dynamic environment that is constantly changing. The environment of a company can be divided into the internal environment of the company, on which the company has a direct influence, and the external environment, which cannot be so easily influenced by the company. It is therefore essential when making a decision to form a strategy that analyzes the external environment so that we can avoid, or at least minimize the threats and accept the opportunities. The most used and well known tools for analyzing external environments are SWOT analysis and PESTEL analysis, which are connected because they draw conclusions about which factors represent opportunities and which threaten the company. In addition to getting a general picture of the external environment, PESTEL analysis allows us to better understand how changes in the external environment will impact the company and it help us prevent or reduce the negative effects of the external environments and identify positive ones. Truffle hunting is an activity that has been rising in the last few years in Croatia, and given the Croatian truffles, ie Istrian truffles are one of the many most valued mushrooms in the world and bring many positive effects on the economy and economic growth. However, PESTEL analysis of Croatian truffle hunting concluded that the greatest threats appear in the political environment and the economic and social environment, while the greatest opportunities lie in the technological environment, as they do in the ecological and legal environment.
