Abstract
Arheološko nalazište Monte Ricco smješteno je na vrhu brežuljka na području današnje općine Vrsar. Istraživanja na tom nalazištu započela su 2014. godine i traju do danas. Terenskim geoarheološkim opisom, klasifikacijom sedimenta, laboratorijskom granulometrijskom analizom i analizom frakcije pijeska stereo mikroskopom pokušao se analizirati sastav stratigrafske jedinice 13 iz Sonde II. Sediment SJ 13 sastoji se u manjoj mjeri od pijeska (9.89% nedekalcificirani, 3.10% dekalcificirani uzorak) te s gotovo podjednakim udjelom silta (43.96%) i (46.15%) gline u nedekalcificiranom uzorku, dok u dekalcificiranom uzorku prevladava silt s više od 80% udjela. Analizom frakcije pijeska ustanovilo se da je bogata raznim elementima kao što su ulomci keramike, klasti vapnenca, nodulama željeza/mangana, fragmentima kvarca, fragmenta tinjca i fragmenta ugljena.
Abstract (english)
The arheological site Monte Ricco is located on the top of a hill in the area of the Vrsar municipality. Research on the site began in 2014. and is continues on to this day. There was an attempt to analyse the content of the 13th stratigraphic unit in trench II by way of geoarchaeological field descriptions, the classification of sediments, granulometric analysis and sand fraction analysis with a stereo microscope. The sediment of stratigraphic unit 13 is made up of a smaller amount of sand (9.89 % in the undecalcified sample, 3.10% in the decalcified sample) and an almost equal amount of silt ( 43.96%) and clay(46.15%) in the undecalcified sample, while there is a dominant amount of silt, which makes up 80%, in the decalcified sample. By way of sand fraction analysis, it was determined that the sample is abundant with ceramic fragments, limestone clasts, iron, manganese, quartz mica and coal.
