Abstract Putovanje pripada među najstarije i najopćenitije pojave ljudskoga života.
Abstract (english) Journey is among the oldest and the most general phenomenon of human life. Although in all the epochs of human history people had traveled, a tourism as a mass phenomenon occurred only when the social development provided to more people the material means and leisure time intended for leisure, while technological advances have allowed that without major difficulties and overcome the distance between the dwelling and the chosen tourist destination. After the mass tourism in the early nineties of the 20th century, on the tourist market performances „New tourism“ which is successfully developing now. Tourism is increasingly turning to the individual as a participant of tourist travel, to his individual needs and as a result are produced more special forms of tourism adapted to the requirements of specific groups of consumers of tourism such as business guests, boaters, lovers of cultural events, families with children, the elderly and so on. To involve a place in tourism, it is necessary for that place to contain the resources/attractions. Once you define the resources of a place/destination, you can start with the development of certain types of tourism. Using cultural routes place could be networked to other destinations and in such way to ensure long-lasting tourism in the area. A cultural route is a share in the space composed of tangible and intangible, cultural and historical elements. The project of the European cultural routes, founded in 1987, promotes travel to the established itineraries that pass through two or more countries or regions, and are organized on the theme of historical, artistic or social interest which is obviously European. According to data from 2012, there are now 22 certified cultural routes. The proposed cultural route in the work „Ways of parks and gardens“ is an ideal project which could raise awareness of the need for more human care and concern for herbal and animal world, so that future generations can enjoy in the same natural beauty.
