Mnemonics are different techniques that make it easier for an individual to learn, understand and remember certain content. They enable an interactive and logical approach to the material being taught as well as the creation of a stimulating and interactive learning environment. The use of mnemonics in teaching enables faster, easier and more effective learning. Numerous studies show that mnemonics are effective in teaching health care, primarily they can serve as a good choice for bridging the gap between theory and practice. The students' feedback is positive, and the comments on the teaching and learning experience were also approved in the students' evaluation. Objective is to present the types of mnemonics through a review of the literature, to come up with examples for certain types of mnemonics in the teaching of health care, and to create accompanying visual content using the online graphic editor "Canva". For nursing students, the work can help them acquire numerous contents from different fields of science, and practical nurses in more successful and efficient transfer of knowledge to patients.
