Sustainability is more and more present in people's lives and it follows the set goals of sustainable development in order to return balance to the world with joint forces. Sustainable tourism represents travel that meets the needs of current visitors and takes care of future visitors, including the dimensions of ecological, social and economic sustainability. By applying new sustainability trends, new technologies are developed, the environment is taken care of through recycling and equality is fought for. Sustainable islands are a novelty in the world, the inhabitants of the island are trying to fully adapt to the structure and type of the island in a sustainable way. Selected islands are implementing various projects aimed at sustainability. They focus most of their attention on self-sustainability, renewable energy, ecological food production, recycling and reuse, waste reduction, equality and togetherness of the local community. The main task of today's generations is to focus on the preservation of planet Earth for future generations, while applying all dimensions of sustainability in order to achieve visible progress.
