This thesis explores the integration of STEM education, with a particular focus on chemistry, into programs for preschool children. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) represents an interdisciplinary approach to learning that fosters critical thinking, problem solving, and creativity. The paper analyzes various methods and practices currently implemented in kindergartens in the Republic of Croatia to integrate STEM activities, with a special emphasis on experiential learning. The thesis also includes specific examples of simple chemistry experiments tailored for preschool children, aimed at stimulating their curiosity and investigative spirit. The goal is to demonstrate how the early introduction of scientific concepts can positively impact the holistic development of children and their preparation for future education. The research section presents examples of simple chemistry experiments adapted for preschool children. These experiments are designed to be safe, engaging, and educational, with the goal of encouraging children's natural curiosity and early interest in STEM.
